FORT WORTH, Texas – The eLearning Center, a comprehensive Internet resource for online continuing and business education courses, recently launched a package of upgrades. Phase I provided the basic functionality for The eLearning Center by creating unique portals for colleges and universities to offer courses from leading online content providers for direct sale to students and corporate training customers.
Phase II greatly enhances The eLearning Center by increasing the course total to more than 5,000. The eLearning Center is designed so it can be easily customized and branded for use at colleges and universities and co-branded to create partnerships with local corporations and community organizations at no charge.
According to IDC., a Framingham, Mass.-based research firm, the e-Learning market, which was worth about $6.5 billion in 2003, will increase to more than $21 billion by 2008. Colleges and universities across the United States have long recognized that professionals who want career training are time restricted and that their migration to online courses will only continue to grow.
“The measures we’ve integrated will make the world’s largest collection of e-learning courses much more user-friendly,” said Stephen Gatlin, founder of Fort Worth-based Gatlin Learning, Inc. and The eLearning Center. “With our advanced search features and easier navigation tools, The eLearning Center will be a straightforward and enjoyable one-stop shop for students’ and companies’ online education needs.”
The eLearning Center contains courses from many of the country’s top online education content providers such as Element K, NetG, GlobalEnglish, 360 Training, CEU4U and Coastal Training Technologies. Pricing for the courses range from $25 to $5,000 depending on the lesson intensity, certification offering and instructor support involved.
The self-study courses are available in a broad range of subject areas, including business, medical training, continuing education courses, design, IT, motivation and many others. New categories continue to be added as well. In addition to English, certain courses are offered in Spanish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Japanese, Turkish, Chinese, Taiwanese and Arabic.
The eLearning Center features courses that are skill-building for life skills and professional career training. Students can enroll and pay for courses at http://www.theelearningcenter.com/ and interested institutions of higher learning or corporations can contact Gatlin Learning, Inc. at 817-870-2870 for more information.
