Gatlin Education Services adds private investigation course

FORT WORTH, Texas – Gatlin Education Services announced today it will offer a Principles of Private Investigation course beginning this fall. The 200-hour course will be offered solely through Gatlin’s partnership with major colleges and universities.

Designed as a comprehensive basic course, the Principles of Private Investigation will help students learn the crucial techniques of a successful PI, such as information gathering.

The online course presents students with a certificate of completion upon finishing but does not provide a license to practice private investigation. Students will gain valuable insight that will prepare them for a license, including terms, codes and statutes of the legal system, surveillance techniques, conducting a missing persons search, client and witness interviews, testifying in court and more.

“The private investigation course will open doors for students who want to get into the business as well as complement the skills of professionals in related industries,” said Stephen Gatlin, founder of Fort Worth-based Gatlin Education Services. “Because the field is littered with qualified professionals, competition is fierce in the field of private investigation.”

There are ample opportunities for individuals seeking entry-level jobs, and the industry’s employment rate is expected to grow faster than the national average through the next eight years, according to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The course will be instructed by the staff of RGS Specialists, a professional education developer in private investigation. The company solely employs licensed private investigators.

Established in 1989 by Stephen Gatlin, Gatlin Education Services is the largest provider of Web-based, instructor-supported training to community colleges and universities. Gatlin’s courses are open enrollment, allowing interested students to start their desired training immediately.
