Gatlin Education Services Announces a New Director of Military Education

FORT WORTH, Texas – Gatlin Education Services has announced the hiring of Haywood Gordon as Director of Military Education. Mr. Gordon will be responsible for enrolling eligible active and retired military personnel into Gatlin’s online career training programs.

“We are excited to have Haywood join our team,” said Stephen Gatlin, founder of Fort Worth-based Gatlin Education Services. “His military experience and expertise makes him an important asset to our company as we extend our reach to new markets.”

Mr. Gordon is a current member of the Army Reserves and has served a combined 12 years of active and reserve duty. Prior to his work at Gatlin, he served as the Veteran’s Administration Certifying Official for The University of Texas at Arlington for seven years where he was successful in receiving approvals for both degreed and non-degree programs. In his new position at Gatlin, Mr. Gordon will help military professionals utilize benefits such as tuition assistance, the GI Bill and vocational rehabilitation to advance their education and transition into new careers.

"It is my goal to place every eligible soldier and dependent in a qualified program,” said Gordon. “Education is the key to access, and that access is to promotions, careers and a better way of life!"
